So what is NLP? Neuro-linguistic programming is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, USA in the 1970s. Its creators claim a connection between the neurological processes (“neuro”), language (“linguistic”) and behavioural patterns learned through experience (“programming”) and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.
Fascinating stuff, but does it actually work? Apparently so, and there are many clients that I have worked with who are big believers in NLP. By re-programming yourself (in it’s simplest terms) it is possible to make some dramatic changes in all areas of life. Relationships, Business, Fears and Phobias.
I am about to embark on a journey of self- discovery by completing my NLP Practitioners course with The Edge so watch this space! I will give you a very honest option as to what it has done for me. I feel confident that it will not only help me, but that I will go on to help others using this technique.
